Some more of my favourite authors include old friends like Georgette Heyer and Ellis Peters, whose books I've loved since I was a teenager. Then, while I was a student I met Elizabeth Peters and her Victorian Egyptologist, Amelia Peabody.

Much more recently I've greatly enjoyed Garth Nix and his Young Adult fantasy novels, and Lois McMaster Bujold, who was introduced to me by rustica and wellinghall.
