Bringing back memories
Clearing out the detritus under the computer desk reminded me of a lot of old computer games. Did any of you ever play any of these?
Most of them are on floppy disc and so long lost, but I must admit being tempted to try Steam to replay a few of them.
Poll #4170 How many of you remember these games?

Oh, I'm definitely showing my age, and just how much of a hoarder I am, as I'm just now throwing out the manuals for these games.

Star Trek had this stupid thing where you had to scan a specific place on the screen with the tricorder before you could get any further into the game. I spent hours trying to find that stupid pixel, before I gave up in disgust. (No, I'm not still bitter, whatever gave you that idea? ;-D)

Is that a Repton userpic?
For a more detailed post on 'Edge Magazine's 100 Best Games of All Time' (admittedly a bitout of date now), see here:

Yes, it's Repton, which competes with Lemmings for the title of Best Game Ever, as far as I'm concerned. It was the first game we had on 5.25" disc for our BBC B, back in the depths of time, and it kept us absorbed for years, on and off.
I thought of you, actually, because one of the other things I found was a cheat book from PC Zone issue 3. I'm not really a gamer at all these days, once I discovered the internet it took up far too much of my time, but when I was a student in the early '90s I used to read a lot of computer magazines.
