I rather like the idea of never knowing from one hour to the next what your computer is going to share with you.

I've been in quite a few fandoms where making wallpapers was something lots of people did, so I have dozens of them - at least this way I get to see most of them from time to time.

In theory it must slow down my computer a bit, but not so I've noticed.

I'm afraid I'm one of those people who hates having icons on my desktop, they just bug me somehow. My untidy and unsorted files are buried deeper on my hard disk, where I can pretend they are not there. ;-)
