Game Time

Last Saturday some of my friends from the Home Free discord set up a gaming session with Adam Rupp, beat-boxer and HF founder. As well as a talented musician, he's a hard-core gamer, but he indulged us with some fun online drawing and social games - if you've never played Gartic Phone, you really should, it's a lot of fun. Even days later it doesn't seem entirely real - it felt just like playing silly games with friends, rather than with a member of my favourite band.

This is an example of the solo he does during their concerts, he's been experimenting with live looping since they started touring again last autumn.

I find any games harder that Tetris are loweringly beyond me :( But I collect the music, I never claimed to be logical...

Oh, I'm not really a gamer - either the computer kind or the Dungeons and Dragons he's also a big fan of. No reflexes, and too busy reading. But social games, whether board games or the new online ones, can be a lot of fun for me, because it doesn't have to be about competing, just having fun being silly together.
