So I'm posting this entry from Ubuntu, running in a virtual machine on my Windows desktop. :-)
No, I haven't suddenly got much techie-er, it's all done with a piece of software recommended on LifeHacker.
LinuxLive USB Creator lets you create a bootable memory stick (apparently) but also contains Sun VirtualBox, so you can run Ubuntu without even rebooting. It's kind of cool. :-)
