It was a good day - and lovely weather for it. I suspect all the places that had their fetes in August were grinding their teeth.
The pavement itself is still in situ, and hasn't been uncovered since 1973 - but there's a replica that was certainly shown on television some years ago.

It's currently on display at Prinknash Abbey - might you have seen it there?
ETA - regretting that I don't have a 1066 icon of the Roman occupied...
