Message to self

I really must learn that some people will behave badly, and that often righteous indignation doesn't do anything other than leave me het up and shaking. Take several deep breaths and move on.

Photoshop is mighter than the sword - "and, anyway, Teyla said it was an affirmation of life and fellowship, and absolutely not a 'drunken orgy' and we're her team and can't trample on her beliefs by opting out, because it would have been wrong" – and so they decided to mark it in the traditional way. (with Photoshop ;-D)

Midwinter Burning - "Midwinter," she said, "is the shortest day. It is the time when light and hope wavers on the point of extinction. Darkness and despair is on the point of triumphing. But it is also a time for hope." She struck a spark, and that tiny orange light turned the faces of her friends into faces of strangers from the other world. "Light and darkness are locked in an everlasting battle. Since midsummer, the light has been losing,and night has gained a little more with every day. Here, at midwinter, the darkest of the dark, the light has triumphed. From now on, days will grow longer, nights will get shorter. This is the darkest night; now comes the dawn. (Spoilers up to 4.10).
