It's not been a particularly good week, for various reasons, but today was better. :-)

This morning Mum and I went to the Stroud Farmers' Market. We were able to buy quite a bit of locally produced food - lamb direct from the farmer, carrots and apples from the growers and some excellent Brie with herbs made on the farm that produces the milk. Handmade soup, spelt bread and Lemon cake completed our purchases from the market. We also found an excellent confectioners with a wide range of unusual/organic/fairly traded chocolates and sweets - I bought some interesting chocolate bars to take to [livejournal.com profile] sigisgrim and [livejournal.com profile] amalion's next weekend.

Then it was back home for a lunch of the soup (a very tasty leek and potato) and bread. I don't have anything else planned for the rest of the weekend, so I had a quiet afternoon racing Turkles on Facebook - I finally beat Spider Turkle. :-)
