A record of the past year... the first line of the first entry for each month.
January:
It's far too late to talk about Christmas but I still wanted to show off my favourite present. :-)
February:
I got back to work last week, after a great time at the SFX Weekender, to be greeted by some rather depressing news. (Redundancies at work)
March:
Letter handed in on Monday, and everything seems to be progressing smoothly. (Letter of resignation for old job.)
April:
I spent the morning in Winchcombe, getting my hair cut, and visiting the Folk and Police Museum, which is small but very interesting.
May:
Real life has rather eaten this journal lately, but that doesn't mean I haven't been reading and enjoying some excellent Merlin (and Sherlock) fic and squeeing on Twitter.
June:
So I've been watching Avengers vids and I was reminded by this one that kick-ass redheads aren't actually a new thing... (Emma Peel)
July:
We've had our Linksys wireless router for five years and it's done us good service, but early this week I spent an evening fighting with it, as it had lost all its settings. (Eventually bought Netgear - pretty happy with it.)
August:
Things I should be writing about but haven't managed the energy for long form entries.
September:
After some worrying times when I got back from Return of the Ring and discovered I was rota'd to work the Oxonmoot weekend, I've managed to swap the Saturday with somebody, so I will be there from Friday night, though it may not be until 7pm or so. (Fluxx poll)
October:
Some of you will know from elsewhere that the TS has recently helped place a Blue Plaque on one of the houses that Tolkien lived in when he was working at the University of Leeds.
November:
After reading a discussion elsewhere I wondered what stories (books, tv, films) always made you cry.
December:
Not a Christmas stamp - on my Christmas card from crazyscot and rustica in New Zealand - I suppose it makes more sense than snowy scenes from the middle of summer. (A Hobbit stamp, featuring Radagast)
