Idle curiosity and awayness

I'm off to Tenerife for a week tomorrow (for reasons known only to themselves, their holiday weeks run Friday to Friday instead of Saturday to Saturday). I fly from Gatwick tomorrow afternoon, so I get to leave here at an almost civilised hour in the morning, but I'll be back fairly late and may not check LJ before the committee meeting.

Since my brain wonders about the oddest things - it occurred to me to ask whether people from outside Europe are aware of our holiday destinations.
