Mozilla Firefox is an excellent thing

Me going on about my new browser
I'd been finding Outlook Express a pain for a while, so I decided to go and have a look at the alternatives. I couldn't get on with Eudora, but one of the magazines I read recommended Mozilla Thunderbird, so I thought I would try it. Now I don't think I would consider going back. Since one of my e-mail addresses has to be in public on the net, I get a lot of spam, and the built in spam blocker in Thunderbird is excellent. I also like the separate account in-boxes, that make it easier to keep current messages for different users in different places, without losing them in the depths of the folder structure.
Then the constant scares about how insecure Internet Explorer is led me to Mozilla Firefox, the browser from the same organisation. I'm getting the hang of pages loading into tabs in the same window, and finding some interesting extensions - like this one for writing in my journal. The built in pop-up blocker is excellent, and it even enables me to carry on using the Google bar I've grown to rely on.
The learning curve for both was pretty short and even better they are both free. They can be downloaded from the Mozilla pages at Mozilla.org
