Calling Merlin fans, and others on Tumblr

I've succumbed to the herd instinct, and got an account, but I have no idea where to start - are there particular blogs I should be following, or people who'd like to link up there as well?

In case anyone is interested, I'm sally-maria (unoriginal, I know).

Thank you, I've managed to work out how to follow you and the colin morgan tumblr. :-)

I suspect I'll probably just be doing something similar, and maybe use it as place to link to YouTube videos I like, but the pretty pictures were definitely a big part of the appeal.

This is the wikipedia entry. Basically, a lot of fans seem to be using it as an add-on to LJ/DW for posting things like pic-spams and links to streaming videos, something like the old character_daily communities. There's a Colin Morgan tumblr here, for example.

As far as I can tell, the interaction is a bit like Twitter, people post their content publicly and others can "follow" it.

I doubt it'll ever be a vital part of my fannish interaction, but one of my other friends was signing up, so I thought I'd try it out and see how I got on.

I think I can see some of the appeal. Just don't have time to join another service I can't follow at work. :(

I'm on there, but I very rarely use it - it's nice to look at pic spams occasionally, but the lack of interactivity drives me bananas.

I can already see it's not going to be a substitute for LJ/DW or even Facebook, but I'm enough of a lurker to not be put off too much by just using it as a way of looking at pictures.
