Wasn't she? I don't remember exactly how old I was when they started showing Avengers repeats but I always remember her as one of my favourite female characters.

Thanks for that blast from the past! I hadn't actually realised Mrs Peel was a readhead as I only ever saw it in black-and-white :-)

You're welcome. :-) I must have watched it in black and white originally as well, but I think it carried on being repeated for long enough for us to get a colour TV.
