I like the way the track is laid out, carefully to one side of the alignment. None of this re-laying in the centre a certain nationalised body did.

It's very interesting to see things like that, which are much less obvious when you are actually travelling the line.

I don't suppose they'll ever re-double the line - it isn't necessary for the railway they are running now, and the expense would be phenomenal, but it's nice to know that they've left the possibility.
