Showing off my stitching

It's my aunt's ruby wedding anniversary today and I had the urge to show off the sampler I did for her and her husband.





They're having a big party next weekend, so I shall be presenting it to them then.

Thank you. It's (slightly) adapted from a design in a magazine, not completely original but I'm fairly proud of it. :-)

40 years. Silver - 25, Gold - 50 and a whole load of less well-recognised ones.

Lovely! :-D I didn't even know there was such a thing as ruby wedding anniversary. It's probably because my parents refuse to celebrate their "special" wedding anniversaries.

Maybe it's a British thing? Though my parents didn't make a big deal of their silver wedding either (they've got another five years to go to their 40th) - my aunt is much more likely to arrange this kind of social occasion.

Thank you. It's more or less as creative as I get, but it's always nice to do something that people appreciate.
