It's Saturday...

Had quite a nice day today - took Mum to Frankie and Benny's for her Mother's Day meal. (I didn't try to do it last Sunday, as sorting meals for Grandma can be tricky, but Saturday is fish and chips day, so it's easier.) We both enjoyed our meal and Mum liked the Cosmopolitan I bought her - thanks to
gayalondiel for starting me on the cocktail thing.
Then I went for an eye test and looked at new glasses - but they were so insistent that I needed thinned lenses for my (fairly high) prescription, which would cost another £120, I decided that I would shop around. I don't want to seem mean, but glasses never used to cost me more than a week's wages.
On another note, I decided to try another LJ layout - the dark one was peaceful, but occasionally hard on the eyes.
nakeisha what do you think of this one? :-)

Date: 2007-03-25 12:04 pm (UTC)Glad you like the new layout - I wasn't sure about the yellow/browness of it, but it's growing on me. And certainly it's got the dark on light contrast which makes in easier to read.
