Our water went off at about 10pm last night. At least it gave the authorities time to get their act together. We're not short of drinking water, but hope it's not too long before I get to have a shower again. :-(

Sadly it's not lack of rain but too much that's the problem - the water pumping station flooded over the weekend and will take a while to get going again. In the meantime they are shipping in supplies from elsewhere.

Thank you. Oddly enough work (where it's been off since Sunday)did get water back today, at least in the loos. But whether it will last...

Thank you very much. The flood's out of the pumping station now, but they have a lot to fix and have to be very careful they don't get the dirty flood water into the mains supply, so they have a while to go.

I feel your pain... I haven't been able to bath or shower for ten days, and counting, and I am absolutely craving a bath! Nothing to do with lack of water, though. I go to have my skingraft site looked at tomorrow, so I hope I'll get clearance to get it wet. If not, I'll be holding the record!

I don't know which is more annoying, not having the water at all - or having water and not being able to use it. I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow.
