Four years or so ago, when my friends in Portsmouth had their first daughter, I wanted to stitch something for her. But she comes from a family of stitchers - it was her mother who introduced me to the hobby in the first place - and there's a limit to the number of samplers that a girl can hang on her walls. :-)

So I was pleased when I found cuddly toys with Aida to add your own design.



This was the rabbit I did for C. four years ago.



So when J. was born early this year, I went looking for a similar toy - and decided that a ladybird would make a nice variation.



It took a little while to find the magazine with the original elephant alphabet, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Hopefully J. will like it as well. :-)

They do some really nice things for stitchers these days - but these were particularly successful I think.
